Painted Lady is a traditional variety dating back to the 18th century. Attractive bi-coloured blooms of deep pink and white and a rich sweet pea fragrance. Bees and butterflies love its pink, and white flowers! Sweet peas make a lovely cut flower. It is a climber – reaching heights of up to around 2 metres so will need some support.
How to grow:
Sow from October to March, 2cm deep in good soil or compost, either in pots or direct into growing site. Undercover in the cooler months. Support with sticks or strings, if necessary.
