Nigella damascena
Approx. 400 seeds per gram
The blue, pink, and white flower heads of Nigella are often seen in dried flower arrangements.
They are also great in wildflower gardens and borders – growing to around 40 to 60cm and being attractive to bees and insects.
Some decorative plants can cause illness if ingested. This includes Nigella.
How to grow:
Sow from March – May directly in the flowering site or in short rows in a seed bed. When large enough to handle transplant seedlings to flowering site or thin to 20cm apart.
Flowers:
June – August.
