Antirrhinum, Snapdragon Mixed
Antirrhinum majus
Approx. 12,000-13,000 seeds per gram
This Snapdragon is a popular bedding and border annual and has a great range of mixed colours.
It boasts a distinctive dragon-faced flower and is native across the Mediterranean. In hotter climates it is often spotted growing in walls. In UK gardens it grows to around 35cm and is a lovely cut flower.
How to grow:
Antirrhinum Snapdragon Mixed seed can be sown anytime during February and March. Ideally, sow the seed in trays within a greenhouse or cold frame. Transplant the plants between April and May in two stages. Firstly, when large enough to handle, the plants should be pricked out and planted into trays with 5cm spacings. The plants should then harden off before planting out at 25cm spacings.
Flowers:
June to September.
