They are half hardy annual and can reach a height of around 90cm. They add a great splash of red to borders and balconies – and insects love them!
How to grow:
Amaranthus Tricolour seed can be sown from the beginning of March up until the end of May. These flowers should be sown in small pots or trays under cover indoors, or directly where they are to flower. Transplanting the flowers should be carried out between late May to June, allowing a 30cm gap between plants.
Flowers:
July to September, (12 weeks from sowing).
