Welcome to the new Tamar Organics website updated for the 2009 season. Click on the catalogue bar above to browse and shop online.

   As usual we are increasing our range of organic seeds and these are clearly marked with the Soil Association symbol. In some cases we offer conventional seed where organic seed is not available. Please be sure to check for the symbol if you only want organic seeds. All our plant material, artichokes, onions, garlic and potatoes are 100% organic. None of the seed we offer is GM or treated.

So what's new for you to try in 2009. In French beans Philetta is a very fine filet type with excellent flavour, we have a new yellow chard called Canary and an oakleaf lettuce called Maserati for winter salad. Talking of salad have a look at salad leaves for all seasons by Charles Dowding in the book section. We have lots of new soft fruit varieties including raspberries and gooseberries and three new blight resistant potato varieties for you to try, Isle of Jura, Markies and Galactica. The blight resistant Sarpo varieties are also available this season.

We hope that all of you who had a mushroom log last season enjoyed good crops of these delicious mushrooms. We will be offering shiitake mushroom logs again. These one year old oak logs will be available to dispatch in Autumn 2008. They are Soil Association registered and come with full instructions. Find them under 'S' in the Vegetable Variety section.

Be sure to check out the Bargain Basement in the Miscellaneous section which is full of useful gardening sundries at knock down prices. Some items can only be sent with orders over 2 kg in weight so please check when ordering.

Tamar Organics started as a small organic market garden in 1994 and our catalogue began alongside as we searched for organic composts, plant feeds and seeds.This is our 16th catalogue.
