AUTUMN ONIONS AND GARLIC NOW IN STOCK. Good quality, organic radar onions and messidrome garlic available now.

   As usual we are increasing our range of organic seeds and these are clearly marked with the Soil Association symbol. In some cases we offer conventional seed where organic seed is not available. Please be sure to check for the symbol if you only want organic seeds. All our plant material, artichokes, onions, garlic and potatoes are 100% organic. None of the seed we offer is GM or treated.

So this is Summer 2008 and although the weather is a little kinder than last year we still seem to be lacking the vital sunshine we need at this time of year for harvesting. If you have blight on your potatoes do not worry, cut down badly effected foliage and burn it. Dig the potatoes as you need them but leave any you want to store for at least 4 weeks for the spores to die off so you do not infect the tubers you want to store. If you can not wait for sunshire, harvest you garlic, shallots and onions as necessary and dry them off indoors. Remember to cover that bare soil with green manures, you will find them in fertilisers and soil conditioners.

We will be offering shiitake mushroom logs again. These one year old oak logs will be available to dispatch in Autumn 2008. They are Soil Association registered and come with full instructions. Find them under 'S' in the Vegetable Variety section.

Tamar Organics started as a small organic market garden in 1994 and our catalogue began alongside as we searched for organic composts, plant feeds and seeds.This is our 15th catalogue and the first from our new farm in Cornwall.
